Exhibition at Fotografiska Stockholm

Photographer, director and former dancer Amanda Gylling brings her understanding of movement and form to her debut exhibition at Fotografiska Stockholm.

The exhibition spans two bodies of work: fashion and still life imagery woven with personal projects, alongside a large collage drawn from a decade of documentary travel photography. Working almost exclusively with analogue, Gylling embraces the unpredictability of the medium as part of her expression.

Freed from the traditional frame, she approached the installations as visual choreography, sculpting the space as if composing a dance. "I played with the shapes and images as if they were arms and legs… I'm very drawn to things that feel like they have a life without being human, like a lively essence."
